Women with unplanned pregnancy crises often face so many impossible pressures: financial, emotional, and relationship.

I am raising money to relieve the provide financial aid and support to pregnant women who want to proceed with an unplanned or challenging pregnancy, whether they need free professional counseling, diapers, or a lifetime of parenting support.  These efforts can have a truly cascading, generational impact, helping mothers care for themselves and their babies in a way that provides a healthier, more stable, less traumatic environment for their children to grow.

While Shifra's charter is focused on providing support and resources to women who decide to move forward with a pregnancy, Shifra's counselors also work sensitively with women before and after abortion if that's her choice. In this time in which a woman's right to choose is under increasing and expanding threat, it feels absolutely critical to me to both fight for abortion access and support as well as to work to build and bolster a system of support for mothers and babies.
